Constitutional spokespersons of all political parties in Parliament discuss electoral reforms with OSCE and wahlbeobachtung.org

Following an invitation by the President of the National Council Parliament hosted an electoral reform event on 13 September 2018. All five constitutional spokespersons of political parties in parliament participated.

Planned exchange on electoral reforms on 13 September 2018 at Parliament

The President of the National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka, confirmed that an exchange about electoral reforms will take place on 13 September 2018 at Parliament. Representatives of the parliamentary clubs, the Ministry of the Interior, the OSCE and wahlbeoabchtung.org will deliver statements. Wahlbeobachtung.org has been invited to present its own electoral reform proposals to the Members of Parliament.

Austrian renown “Journal für Rechtspolitik” publishes recommendations for electoral reforms

A revised and more comprehensive version of the catalog for electoral reforms compiled by wahlbeobachtung.org (Election-Watch.EU) has now been published by the Journal für Rechtspolitik.

Austria is the host country of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and chaired the OSCE in 2017. OSCE/ODIHR publishes findings and recommendations for the 2017 elections

The final report of the OSCE / ODIHR Election Assessment Mission to the parliamentary elections on 15 October 2017 once again confirms that Austria is a solid democracy.
