16 Dec , 2017

The Nordic Journal of Human Rights focused in its fourth quarter 2017 edition on the Subject Election Observation. The Journal published the article of wahlbeobachtung.org with the title “Mapping Legislation for Citizen and International Election Observation in Europe: A Comparative Analysis on the Basis of OSCE/ODIHR Reports“. Wahlbeobachtung.org analyses the legal requirements of election observation especially in countries which normally deploy international election observers  or support citizen observers to strengthen democratic processes in other countries.  However, analysing these countries legal frameworks and accreditation practices only 5 out of 32 countries analysed have fully implemented OSCE commitments and past recommendations.

Our article, Mapping Legislation for Citizen and International Election Observation in Europe: A Comparative Analysis on the Basis of OSCE/ODIHR Reports, has now been published in the Nordic Journal of Human Rights, Issue 4.
